Wow, looks really good. Does it have multiplayer?

Did some looking and it looks like a big no on the multiplayer, bummer.

Oooooooh. That could be a game changer for me. That just went from rent to maybe download the demo.

Why would they cripple a game that looks this good and is squad based by not including at least on-line co-op??

The game has to be out with the movie. They probably don't have time.

What a let down, this game is plain bad... avoid!

Should be a bargain bin game upon release, yes it's that bad :(.

Did not bother to play S.S but when you have to think about what aspect of the game is the worst part it doesn't look promising. Pretty much all aspects of this game scream bargain bin, graphics are so-so, gameplay/control is so-so, voice acting is meh and the way the game handles the story/flow is laughable. Screen tearing abound (even during cut scenes). I'm sure there will be players that can manage some entertainment from it but at this point I am playing it just out of curiosity (being a Terminator fan and very eager to see the new movie).

*Oh and I forgot to mention the poor camera.

** Now half way through the game and fought 3 different enemies .

*** Beat it on medium and it was pretty easy and pretty short, I would guess it was around 6 hours or so (without rushing through it).

Nuts, has there ever been a good Terminator game? Come on Bethesda, Fallout: Skynet Edition! :D

i cant even begin to fathom the awesomeness that is a bethesda open world terminator game, post apocalypse.

Both of you guys realize that Bethesda made a series of Terminator games, including the excellent SkyNET, back in 1996, right? In other words, been there, done that, moved on to far better fictions.

Going back ti the 16 bit days, Robocop vs. Terminator for the Genesis and Terminator for the Sega CD were a couple of very good side-scrolling shooters. More recently, Terminator: Dawn of Fate for the original Xbox was a pretty good game as well, though its use of static camera angles (ala Devil May Cry) was annoying at times. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for the Xbox could have been a great game but Atari dialed the difficulty so high that it made the game almost unplayable. Too bad as it had some nice visuals and even mapped a button on the control pad to issue one liners in Arnold's voice.

As for the new game, I don't mind a single player only campaign but based on some of the comments I'll definitely wait for a demo.

Carsenio says "I did not know that." I'll have to look that one up. This game I guess? - http://www.amazon.com/SkyNET-DOS/dp/B0006D3684/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1242927346&sr=1-1

All by Bethesda, according to Amazon. And I was just kidding, lol. I guess I wasn't PC gaming back then.

From what I have seen so far, all of the reviews are basically saying "It's a good game, but it's too short for $60, and it doesn't have Christian Bale in it. Therefore it gets a 5 out of 10." This is of course coming from people that get games for free as their profession. Do they really expect us to believe that they have any remote concept of what price a game is worth?

And yeah, Bethesda made quite a few Terminator games already. :)

Not sure if there was a hint of sarcasm in there (which is perfectly understandable) but either way never listen to me for game opinions, I am overly critical and always pick games apart ;).

I can tell this game was rushed and had it been given more polish it could have been 'good' but nothing even remotely close to Gears (which seemed to be the impression that we were all getting from the screen-shots/videos). You can tell it tries to be like Gears in many ways and it has an interesting take on the cover system but the overall experience just feels uninspired to me.

I've heard 3-4 hours playtime, which seems ridiculous for $60 considering it only offers split screen co-op and the game has been reported to be mediocre at best. Should make a decent rental.

I could see 4 hours if somebody rushed through it and did not look around for extra weapons. Honestly I kept waiting for there to be some collectibles or hidden stuff but I came across nothing, maybe they should have added that in to extend the play time.

No sarcasm. I've been around here long enough to understand you get a bad rap for being critical but you always point out what you don't like about the game and I can pick out the problems that would bother me if I bought the game. Three specific things that kept me from buying this game are list below from your post.
