Paramount uses Dolby for the hd audio on their Blu-rays 99% of the time (except for Top Gun). Are they using dts hd because this was originally on NBC, which is now NBC/Universal, which uses dts hd on their blu-ray's?

Just curious.

They use third party for encoding and authoring. So in many cases its up to the third party what they want to use.

But there could of course be other reason aswell.
