I recently decided to make a little media pc for my front room and store all my bluerays and other video on it for quick and easy access. So i got anydvd hd and xilisoft video converter ultimate. Anydvd hd works fine. I can rip my bluerays to m2ts files and then use xilisoft to convert them to quicktime movies (just my preference i guess). My problem is some of these bluerays go thru the process fine ending up in a beautiful 1080p quicktime movie of around 9gb, while others rip from the blueray fine, but after the conversion (to .mov) play really choppy. the audio and video are synced up and the image quality is very good, but the playback is choppy. I set it to 23.97 fps which is the same setting i used for the other movies that work flaulesly. a side note for the films im having trouble converting. Their respective m2ts files, when played in a movie player, play fine with no choppiness at all.
I am very new to this (3 days of research) and im sure there is something im just not doing right. and im sure there are other threads that deal with this problem...i just dont understand the terminology very well yet and dont really know what the problem is.
