42" panasonic TH-42PX6U about a year ago TV fell from stand cracking glass panel, but not damaging any internals. At the time i found out the price was nearly $550.00 for the part only plus labor. I decided to just replace TV and uograde to larger why I was at it. Today I took TV apart and had my local glass shop cut a new one for me. Replaced the dust shield on the inside which is just foam taped/glued to inside edge of glass with foam weatherstripping for doors/windows. TV looks great picture is perfect. Only thing missing is the reflective coating, thought I would have a buddy come put some light window tint on it see how it affects the picture but until then figured it would work great for the bedroom. let me know if you have any questions
