I'm eagerly awaiting a new 600M and have been looking at various options for mounting and power. My first thought was to install a clock box behind the panel and run some romex to a pig tail on one of my outlets. I did a little searching and came across PowerBridge.

The concept seemed pretty straight forward so I ordered one. It comes with a recessed outlet to be mounted behind the panel (clockbox) and a male receptacle to be installed in a box somewhere in the vicinity of a standard outlet. The two are linked with romex in the wall. You can then run a cord directly from the male receptacle to the outlet or, even better, put a surge suppressor or power conditioner in the middle.

I was surprised at how fast my order shipped, and even more surprised that they refunded the $8 I overpaid for shipping. I got the device today and it was well packaged and really high quality.

I look forward to installing what I should be the standard for powering a wall mounted plasma. I'm not sure if this is the right place for such a thread, but I'm installing my third plasma now and thought I'd share the find.

I found a link with special AVS member pricing here in the forum. It's http://powerbridgesolution.com/avsspecialorder.html.

I'm certainly complimentary of the product, but you'll see by my history on the forum that I'm in no way affiliated with PowerBridge.

I too did the search for in the wall power for wall mounting my TV last year. In my opinion, it was one of the best accessories I have for my install mainly because I have my Tv plugged in to my Tripplite power conditioner/surge.

Any way, I wanted to add my 2-cents for Powerbridge, they came up with a pretty good product taht has a good purpose and value, as long as you buy it on that special AVS link you posted, I lucked out and found that too, saved about $30.00! I didn't get my $8 bucks back for shipping though, how did you talk them in to that? LOL

I recommend it to anyone wall mounting their TV. ;)
