I have some thicker gauge HDMI cables that were fine before, but now I have a tighter space that I need to fit them in. I got some right angle connectors that help a bunch on some of the connections but these don't work at the amp where the connections are all in a row. I have heard that HDMI cables can be sensitive to bending. How much do I need to be concerned? Should I buy another set of thinner and more flexible cables?

well, they are sensitive to bending...
however, i'd be more concerned about port damage on the components if you are having to make some tight bends close to them... doing that will likely put a considerable amount of stress on the ports themselves...
have you thought about using port savers (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024010&p_id=2891&seq=1&format=2)?
to be honest, if there isn't an issue with length of run, i'd be tempted to replace the cables with a smaller gauge... they are cheap enough...

Second the recommendation of the port saver taill.
Didn't see the port savers on Monoprice before, thanks. I did get the angle connectors which are great.
