I already have one Oppo HM-31 switcher, but would like to run another box because I am running out of HDMI slots! My Denon receiver has only 2 HDMI inputs on it. Right now I am maxed out at 4 slots, but this would bring it to 6. Any foreseeable issues? Will my Harmony 890 know what to do? Thanks in advance!

The problem will be if the two switchers use the same remote code. Some units can be switched to a different remote code, but I don't know if you can do that with the Oppo. If not, then you would need to physically separate the two IR inputs. This can be done with some types of IR blaster remote setups. Don't know if the Harmony can do that.
You could also consider a single switch with 6 inputs.

well, even the op couldn't segregate the ir, wouldn't it still work anyway?
since the avr is still controlling what signal goes to the display (one switch into each of the 2 hdmi ports on the avr), even if both of the switches respond to all commands, it really doesn't matter in the end...
scenario: if on hdmi switch 1, there's a, b and c for inputs and on hdmi switch 2 there's d, e and f for inputs... if you wanted to watch "b" and sent the ir command to the switches to switch to it (and to the avr to switch to hdmi 1), it doesn't matter that switch 2 switches to "e", since the avr will only care what is coming in from hdmi 1...
or am i missing something?
edit: cascading them would be a different story...

edit: cascading them would be a different story...You are right. If he connects one switch to each of the receivers input then it's fine if they both switch together (even desirable, since he only needs one remote to control both switches).
