do you get anything special if you find ways to shoot him as opposed to running around for 7 minutes?

If you hit him enough, he will run away then you have to fight Jill. In the Jill fight, there will be a treasure (The heart of Africa) laying in between the stairs which is worth 10K.

Exactly, it will take one shot from the rocket launcher and then a pistol shot to hit the rocket when he catches it

As far as I see, the only thing you get for S rankings is the ability to buy the Hidden "Wesker Rare" figure in the Bonus Features.

Not a big deal IMO.

But if you're a completist, then by all means go for it.

To get the "They're all action figures" trophy you have to get all s ranks. you can mix between amateur, veteran, pro etc. it doesn't have to be in the same difficulty
