I just tried to cap IDOL from last night and nothing its blank on CAPDVHS!!!
All other channels work ABC CBS NBC PBS but FOX would now appear to be 5c?
I tried other fox channels and tried powering down the box but nothing.
Are they allowed to do that?

Some cable company DVRs respond to the broadcast flag by encrypting Firewire output. That is almost certainly what is happening in your case.

Other DVRs do not exhibit this problem.

Does anyone else in the Dallas Market have these issues? I have read on other forums that this is something Fox keep doing.

From what's been reported on this forum, FOX routinely sends it content with the broadcast flag. Hardware vendors like TiVo and Moxi ignore the broadcast flag, but Motorola does not. Motorola respects this flag with their DVRs, so these programs are flagged as "copy no more" once saved to the hard drive.
