Hi,
I am new to this forum so by way of introduction I am Steve living in Calgary (please dont ask about the weather...nasty up here today).
I have had Roku Photobridge for almost 5 years now, and as I am sure you will be aware not the original one (That would be some kind of record).
Well after my 4th failure, I decided to try something else, so I just took delivery of my new Pinnacle Showcenter 250hd. First impression is its not too bad. Dont like the power button at all, and the lights on the front even more so.
Its different to my Roku Photobridge, but lets hope this box is a lot more stable and the power supply/motherboard last more than a year at a time.
So to my question. I want to play my mp3 randomly. I have searched in vain to find an answer. I have got a call into Pinnacle, but just not sure how fast they answer technical questions.
I am using a Buffalo NAS with UPNP support and I am able to access all of my music (15,000 mp3).
I have a the following directory structure. \\Media\Music\a-b\ashcroft richard\song for the lovers.mp3 as an example.
Media is the share point on my Buffalo NAS where media server is running.
So when I browse to Music on the Showcenter I can see all of my music, but just not sure how to play them in random order. When I select All Tracks in the menu, they appear in numerical/alphabetical order. They only seem to play in order.
Thanks in advance
Steve
