In having a subwoofer meet last weekend I threw on the new THX scene on the demo DVD I made and it sent a lot of the subs packing. It seems to be recorded decently low in frequency, but extremely high with the level.
Give it a try at a low level to save your woofer. It will get taxed at higher levels.

Need...to....have.....da....TH-221. But before that need to reinforce your house first, and save up for the most of us.
Its as expensive as the KYDG BFT 9 US subwoofer.

The th50 was insane. Can't imagine the 221.

Heheheh. Good stuff, indeed. I love this newer THX fanfare though still prefer the 'Cavalcade' trailer as well. Although this was a good torture test at the recent GTG it isn't really "new". IIRC, the THX 'Amazing Life' trailer debuted with the release of Indy4 on dvd/bd. Bet the TH50 rocked your place real good with this trailer. :D
