Hello all,

Someone out there must have some images of Green Glue going into a ceiling. Any pics?

Thanks.

Ted:

I took a few shots during the hoisting up of the panels. Try this post from my thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=14565381#post14565381

I've got some more photos that I haven't posted, so let me know what you are looking for (specifically), and I'll see if I have them.

Here is a middle layer sheet about to be installed in the IB chamber. 3/4 MDF + GG + 5/8 drywall + GG + 5/8 drywall.

For the record, applying greenglue when the panel is on the ground is so much eaiser than applying it when it's on a 4' high lift (since I need to stand on a step stool to reach the inside of the panel). I didn't think to take any pictures of my installation. I went through two pails of greenglue in my theater, and I think I just about wore out my gun. :)

Hmmmm. I did it wrong then. I had my help put the dryway sheet on the lift first. THEN we put the greenglue on (http://tomdufresne.com/v-web/gallery/albums/album11/drywall_070006.jpg)
I found it easier, and I didn't have to worry about messing up and getting greenglue all over my hands, hair, etc. (Note the exposure suits! Hehehe don't laugh until you have had to get this stuff out of your hair, clothes etc...)

Most of us are not as sloppy as you, Ted. We don't have GG on our ceilings because we clean up our mess.

I can't wait to have my wife call 911 after I've accidently stuck myself to the ceiling. :D

That stuff is the stickiets thing known. I'm pretty sure it's at least one part super glue. I got a glob in my hair and it took like 3 days to finally get it out. I had to throw out a pair of gloves too!

And oh lord, i got a spot on the floor, and then my wife walked through barefoot to see my progress.

Oh lord... Good thing we were in a sound proof room, she has a few choice words for me.
