Hey everyone, I've been looking into EQing my HSU STF-2 the last few days. However, I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth spending $200 to EQ a $350 sub (Behringer 1124 EQ is $100-ish, and a Galaxy CM-140 SPL meter is another $100-ish, along with the free REW software). I do plan on getting the ULS-15 (or a similar sub) in the next year or so, maybe it'd be better to just put this money toward that instead? Thanks.

Are you less than satisfied with the STF-2 without any EQ? Do you strongly suspect nulls or peaks in the response in your room?
If you strongly suspect nulls or peaks, then the ULS-15 may benefit as much from EQ unless you would put it in a different location that has minimal nulls and peaks. Other than the Velodynes with the 7 band EQ, outboard EQ more likely than not would benefit you.
