It was funny though. halo3rules 04-24-09, 12:02 PM FYI for the records Danica racing the Indy Car Series, not in Formula 1. nice coment though. I'm really excited for this game hopefully its fun to play but not to challenging (race pro). I've been starving for a good racing game as forza got boring and grid was unplayable. I thought sony had exclussive rights to the F1 games? oh well their loss is my gain! tronn 04-24-09, 12:36 PM who cares? gives me reason to post this: http://mboundalley.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/danica_patrick.jpg kabob983 04-24-09, 01:04 PM FYI for the records Danica racing the Indy Car Series, not in Formula 1. I was gonna post the same thing...is it sad that we were trying to give him a reason NOT to post pictures of Danica?? :( whiskey > work 04-24-09, 01:09 PM Have you ever blown a tranny? Chitown1211 04-24-09, 01:27 PM Its built on the GRID engine. What a shame. number1laing 04-24-09, 01:35 PM Its built on the GRID engine. What a shame. GRID engine is fast and looks great, whats the problem? Codies has said from day one this is a sim, GRID is not, so I assume their coders are working on the physics as we speak. That said I heard Codies paid major $$$ for this license, and then paid Sony for the assets they used to build their F1 game (car models, track data, etc.), which one assumes they did to get the game out faster. This sounds liek a real setback for the studio. JuiceRocket 04-24-09, 03:33 PM For more information...oh wait...there's barely any info there and this is for the F1 2009 for Wii and PSP...you can go to the "official site" at http://www.formula1-game.com/ What's cool is the game is mentioned on the actual F1 page here ---> http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/4/9239.html I'm looking forward to the Xbox 2010 game, a shame they'll be using this years spec cars, as they're hideous. Think they'll include KERS, the movable front wing, and double diffusers? ;) -JR bitTRL1000 04-24-09, 11:37 PM Let's just hope this gets released here in the US. whiskey > work 04-25-09, 12:10 AM we won't see this game. This is the same idea as the conan mmorpg and that crazy flight sim everyone got nuts about IndyStylee 04-28-09, 04:43 PM I'll bet the diffuser and KERS will be omitted (I hope so).... and I wish they'd do away with both of them in real life (and so does ferarri, mclaren, and renault!). What's the point of reducing downforce by gimping the wings if you're going to allow the diffusers? And KERS is scary because people are bad enough drivers online... they don't need an extra 80 bhp to punt me through a corner with. Would love to turn some laps on those tracks though!!! Chitown1211 04-29-09, 02:13 PM GRID engine is fast and looks great, whats the problem? This sounds liek a real setback for the studio. GRID looks good, but a sim it is not. There is absolutely NOTHING sim about GRID. Besides looks. GRID was a joke to me in the "sim" essence of course. Right now that is the only example any of us have of the GRID engine. We will see I guess. ibuycheap 04-29-09, 02:20 PM GRID looks good, but a sim it is not. There is absolutely NOTHING sim about GRID. Besides looks. GRID was a joke to me in the "sim" essence of course. Right now that is the only example any of us have of the GRID engine. We will see I guess. Grid is a modified version of the engine used for Dirt (neon). Not that dirt was a sim. number1laing 04-29-09, 02:26 PM Chitown I hear you, note in my comment I said GRID was not a sim so they have to upgrade that part of it. But in terms of looks and performance the tech they got is top notch. JuiceRocket 04-29-09, 03:32 PM And KERS is scary because people are bad enough drivers online... Good point - each turn would become an exercise of people "boosting" into each other. I wonder what the damage modeling will be on this game. If it's anything close to realistic (I absolutey hope it is) then it'll change online racing drastically. It does say though - in the press release - that KERS will be included. I'm also very hopeful they have realistic tire wear and fuel usage - and FULL race times. Although it sounds crazy, I fondly remember 24 hour mode in LeMans 24 Heure. Please let them include a realistic season system, with championship and constuctor points. -JR Caribwoy2000 04-30-09, 09:25 AM Although it sounds crazy, I fondly remember 24 hour mode in LeMans 24 Heure. -JR No blinking for 24 hours ala Clockwork Orange!!! That's my problem with these racing games  Jules :D |
