No thanks. Not to judge you because you're trying to help, but that's tantamount to stealing in my book. At a minimum, it's taking advantage of one of the last major retailers that give us customer-friendly returns.

not bloody likely... but for someone who has rb2 and hasn't imported rb1 yet, think of it as part of a $15 track pack add-on for 55 songs when you factor in the $5 import key on the PS store. not a bad deal by any stretch.

Nope (at least for Rock Band).

Though, Rock Band will work with the SingStar mics when you have both mics hooked up.

Highly doubtful. But, for those who have the RB2 game but not RB1 (like a few of my friends and family), $10 is the next best thing to borrowing someone else's copy.

I would recommend for you guys to try this. Go to BB and buy a game for $10 and then try to exchange it at WalMart, or anywhere else. If it works you got a new game for a fraction of the cost and if it doesn't you can just return it to BB.

Yeah, that kind of caught my eye too for $10. I already have my favorite racer, Burnout: Paradise, so Pure might not get that much play time but, again, it's only $10.

They regualarly lie to customers to cause them to purchase uneeded full ink cartridges, store warranty, etc, when the printer already has a full ink cartridge or the product comes with a manufacturer's warranty. They are Nazi's that will arrest you in the store.

The only real use of Best Buy is to demo their products at home and then return. If you like a prodoct, support honest communications by buying Elsewhere. If you do not know Best Buy fraudulent history, then google it.

I don't think Best Buy employees can arrest you. In any case, when I want to buy something at BB, I go in, pick out what I need, pay for it, then go home. Amazingly, in spite of doing this many times, I have never gotten arrested. In any case, by all means don't shop there or an ywhere else you don't like but don't rip off the place either. Of course Vizion's plan would entail ripping off Wal-Mart, but same deal.

i don't shop at best buy period for all of those reasons. 90% of the people who post on avsforum make an effort to not give best buy their money. the only thing BB is reputable for is the games and movies that you can get anywhere else and most people do get them elsewhere, that is unless BB is running a $10 sale at which point the games are barely to no longer profitable to BB.

BUT...

my point was that by suggesting that people buy something cheap at any store (best buy in this case) with the intent to try to return it to somewhere else to get more money back is stealing and suggesting that other posters do that is a violation of the forum rules.

like forcona said, it doesn't matter where. encouraging theft is a no-no no matter how much you dislike the store. and IF A MODERATOR sees the post, it's likely a bannable offense.

Another bargain I found on the Cheap Ass Gamer forum: Heavenly Sword is available at Sears for $19.97. The game might still be marked at full price, but if you get it scanned it rings up at the clearance price.

I know a lot of people here have played Heavenly Sword already, but for those who -- like me -- are newcomers to the PS3 and were curious about this game but reluctant to try it at full price, this might be a good time to pick it up.

I was gonna get Pure, but then I thought about it, and realized that if I wait a bit longer, Blockbuster will do that B1G1 deal, and I'll end up getting Pure for $7.50 that way. Sure, I'm only saving $2.50, but I'm patient, plus there are other games I'm gonna want to pick up at BB. Honestly, Blockbuster is the only retailer that I buy games from anymore. Otherwise it's either Craigslist or Ebay.

Any month now. They always do their B1G1 on used games $14.99 and less every few months or so. Again, it's a matter of patience. I have so many games on my backlog list right now that buying another game would just be adding to the stack of games already waiting to be played. So it might as well wait at the retailer. When a price comes along that is just too freaking good to be true... Like when GTA4 was $7.50 at Blockbuster, then I snag it regardless of how big my backlog is.

I got there around 20 mins after it opened. They had a few crates (small) with games, Not too much surprisingly. When I got there it was pretty picked over.

Exactly what I wanted. Arrived just as the doors opened. Soul Caliber was especially lucky as they were still in the locked bins, not on the outside carts, so I got in line to get one of the 8 units on stock.

I got to BB a couple of minutes after opening. They actually had most of the games, but there were perhaps a dozen people me included that picked 5-10 games each thus cleaning things out quickly. I ended up getting Xbox versions of most, but they had QoS in the PS3 version (with tee shirt as a bonus) so I picked that up. The only game that I wanted that was not there was Pure. They had many more Sc4, DmC4 in the PS3 versions (Xbox was sold out rather quickly) along with most of the other games (varing from 4-20 copies) so you may still have a chance. I guess the real opportunity was last night at 12 EST to go to BB.com and order the games online. Apparently they got sold out in 30 minutes.

Picked up Ferrari Challenge. Seems like a bargain for $10 so far.

Absolutely. I've been playing it for a couple of weeks. It's a fairly new game so there are plenty of people playing. All the trophies are achieved by just grinding through the game, there are no really challenging ones. Except one that you have to get 100,000 credits, which should take around 20hrs.

Try Wally World. Most will price match the ad, and SC4 is pictured in the ad. I'm going to give it a shot.

Yes, but I got real lucky in that it was still kept in the glass case when the sale started. I simply got my name on the list and it was waiting for me at the register:). PS3 version btw

Yes. There were about 20 copies at my store but most of them were grabbed up by hoarders buying multiple copies. Personally, I hated the game (got it for Xmas) and recently sold mine.

I checked again and when they rang it up, everything was $10 besides QoS. I'll probably get Jericho and RB to import the songs.

Yeah. I got that along with Pure and MLB 08 yesterday (Monday) afternoon. At the store I went to (in STL), there must have been 15-20 copies of Soul Calibur for PS3 on the shelf. Maybe we were the market they were all shipped to? This at least means there are enough copies floating around that hoarders won't make any money on eBay. I hope.

Pure is an absolute no-brainer for $10!!! I don't even like racing games and this one is tons of fun. Highly highly recommend.

I picked up MLB '08 and NFL Tour yesterday. I don't have a football game, and even though Tour kinda sucks, it will hold me over until the new Madden comes out. Single player mode is completely awful, but it's alright playing multiplayer. I think I'm going to break down and buy Madden this fall. I've basically boycotted it for the past couple years but I just can't stand not being able to play some football on my PS3!

And did I hear someone say Soul Calibur 4 sucks?! IMO it's the best fighting game I've ever played. Granted it's pretty worthless playing by yourself, but with friends it just doesn't get any better! If you can find it for $10, you can't pass that up.

I was at Best Buy last night and the only titles they had from the sale were Rock Band and Rock Revolution. They also had signs up saying that there were no rainchecks for games in this promo as they were clearing out their warehouse and when this sale ends these titles will no longer be sold at Best Buy.

I managed to pick up Bolt(PS3),Shrek Carnival(PS2),Wall-E(360),Infinite Undiscovery(360), and Silent Hill Homecoming(360) all for $10 yesterday. But if you want something pictured in the add and as long as your Walmart is within 30 miles of your Best Buy just price match. Went today and got Soul Caalibur 4(PS3),Pure(360), and Bourne(360) all for $10. They seemed a tad sceptical of the price but i had the add and they had no choice:D
