Hi folks,

I just received my popcorn hour 110A, and set it up in place of the WDTV. The WDTV was working fine, no issues with hdmi connectivity.

So, I setup the PCH, turned it on, and got the menu system, no issues.

Then I went to a movie, clicked on it, and got audio, but no video - Issue # 1.

Then, I tried clicking the stop button, and return to "menu," but I got no video at all.

In the video menu, I left the output to "auto" vs. changing to 720P, etc., so not sure why the heck I wouldn't be getting video of any sort - MENU OR Movie...

Somebody help me please....

If you had read even one single wiki or FAQ you'd know "auto" is not recommended. Plus, it might help if you posted...you know...anything at all about your networking, movie-file type, etc. Oh, and I'm curious why you didn't just post this in the offcial owner's thread...or again, try reading it?

Sorry, likely I am in a bad mood from the barrage of noobie posts like this. I'm not trying to further pick on the guy; I am just being honest, and saying I'm sorry if I tore him a new one.

Still, I'm not sure how a guy with 589 posts on this board doesn't understand the idea of posting in the HUGE official thread...or reading the first couple of pages for some help. I mean, that's not asking him to be a PCH expert...just to have some board etiquette, yes?

CD, chill out man - take a deep breath :)

I've been around here much longer than you, as you noted. As you may also know, many of the larger boards get "over run" by questions and some get skipped/missed by the users, in particular when the "official faq" becomes so long that folks don't read the whole thing, and skip to the end simply to ask a question....actually posting the title the way I did may help somebody who's possibly having the same issue, vs. having to read through umpteen pages of "FAQ" that may lead them no where.

Regarding the unit, "Auto" recommended or not, it should still work... it comes delivered on "auto," so the fact it would NOT work, irregardless of the movie codec or menu option being selected, indicates there's an issue with the unit.

You trying to make a point or get your unit working?
