Writing for a friend of mine, he says that he sees this pop up occasionally on bluray movies, usually universal titles He sent me a pic and it looks like a speaker icon so Im wondering if its something going on with his bluray player Pioneer BDP-51FD. Here's what he writes

"there’s a couple Universal blu-ray movies that display this horrific graphic ON my image and I can’t tell what it is or how to get rid of it. It’s displayed through the entirety of Bourne Supremacy, and it went in and out on some other Universal movie we just Netflix’d. See attached pictures for the graphic and then the relative size (or relatively huge size). Thoughts?"



any ideas guys?

I have never seen anything like that on my AE3000 (using a BD55 in case that matters).

I have the AE3000 and never seen that happen. I do want to know what the faint lines that show up on DVDs that go across the top and bottom of the video. It looks like a fishing line is a centimeter from the black borders on the 16:9.

nope nothing like that here. may be another component of the system?
