Need some help! I'm having intermittent problems keeping the HDMI signal up and running in only ONE location in my house.
My set-up in that location is a new Samsung LN32A-550 that is connected via HDMI (and Component Video/Audio) into a new DirecTV H23-600 receiver that is connected via coax to a Zinwell Wide-band 6x8 Multi-Switch onto a Slimline 5LNB dish (NOT SWM).
The HDMI signal is strong in this location/setup until I turn off the TV and H23-600. When I turn both units back on, I get the "Searching For Signals" message quickly followed by the "No Signal" message. This is true for BOTH HDMI ports (HDMI 1 & HDMI 3) on the Samsung TV so I do not believe that it is an issue with the TV.
To get the HDMI signal up and running I have to disconnect BOTH the Samsung TV and the H23-600, wait a minute or so and then reconnect. The system then takes me through most of the entire start-up/signal gathering process. And then the HDMI signal is strong and clear.
As mentioned above, I also have the Samsung TV and H23-600 connected via Component Video (only because of the HDMI problem) and there are no problems at all with that connection.
Finally . . . I have no HDMI signal reception problems at the other two locations in my house where I use an HR21 and HR22.
It is important to note that I got the new H23-600 from DirecTV just last week to replace a refurbished H20-100 (that had pretty much the SAME HDMI signal issue) that DirecTV had previously sent me to work with my new Samsung flatscreen.
Any ideas on what may be happening and what the fix is?
