I just purchased 1" OC 703 panels to treat two rooms in my house, including my home theater. I also purchased some fabric to cover them. My question is, do I need a frame??
I was going to mount them using z-clips, with some screws and washers. I was thinking of purchasing 3M Sticky spray, and using staples to secure the fabric. However I'm not sure If the fabric will stay put.
I realize this is likely a stupid question, but does anyone have any experience, or an opinion? I was hoping to get away without framing, but could if I had to (I am well versed in carpentry).
Thanks!!!

OC703 is a little soft and unrigid unless the edges are chemically hardened. Take a look at the ReadyTraps kits which use plastic angle pieces for the corners.

If you are bound and determined to hang unframed panels the Rotofast panel hanging system may be what your need:

Can't use Z-clips without some kind of frame to mount them to. I mean, there are other ways to do it than adding a rigid frame, but it really is usually the easiest way to get the whole thing together and stuck on a wall.

I'm just going to build frames. For some silly reason I thought the 703 was rigid enough to screw and staple to.
I'm making a total of 24 tiles for 2 different rooms, so I'll probably make a jig to speed up the process.
Thanks for the responses!

Excellent idea...that's definitely the way to bang out 24 of them in a hurry.
