I recently purchased an old Canon WD-58 WA lens. Obviously, I purchased a 37mm to 58mm set up ring. Having used this lens on my HG20, I think it works very well, as I do not see any barreling or vignetting. I would like to purchase a lens hood for it. Since it is not threaded at the end, that leaves only "thumb-screw on" hoods. I found this one at B and H:

I know that sometimes people say if you put a hood on a wide angle lens you are subject to seeing the hood when you zoom.
Does anyone have any experience with this WD-58 WA lens and a lens hood? Or perhaps someone can tell me I'm over reacting to this situation and I will not see the lens hood when I zoom with the WA lens.
