Since it sounds like the Conquest might be gone has anybody heard the Epic Dragon and SVS Ultra13? Would 2 Epic Dragons be better than 1 SVS Ultra for Music/Home Theatre? About 50/50. I have a 18x19x8 room running tube amps on La scala bass bins and Altec 511b horns and drivers. Will the 2 Dragons outperform at the low end the ultra 13? I have had an old(15 years) Infinity 12" subwoofer and its all I know. No experience in subs for me. I know there sealed so there good for music.
I dont know yet what for sure I will end up for a home theatre reciever. Right now its an old Denon 5.1. Thanks

Roddey,
Two subs are a really good idea if you can swing the space. Placing them on opposite sides of the room has potential to give you a REALLY nice and flat frequency response.
For that reason alone I'd say the Dragons may have the advantage of not needing to be "tuned" as much. I don't know what the Dragon is tuned to so don't know its low end, but going from memory I want to say 16 or 18hz. Nice low extension either way.
Some say sealed are more accurate than ported for music, but given my experiences with Epik I have never wanted more "accurate" bass and I have the old line up which has supposedly been improved upon in terms of accuracy.
I love Epik but there are of course drawbacks. Packaging is sometimes inadequate, customer service is hit or miss, but you will pay less for what you get as compared to SVS. With SVS you're going to get stellar service, great packaging, but you will pay slightly more for what you get. What I mean by paying more or less for what you get is in terms of total output (decibels) for your dollar.
Either way they're both fantastic choices, but the above information should let you know which type of customer you are and let you know which company may best serve your needs.
Good luck!

Both are good choices. The dual Dragons will give you more slam. The Ultra will dig deeper. If you can swing it, dual Phoenix will give you both slam and extension. It has two 3inch down firing ports.

Dual 4" down-firing ports ;)
Thanks. That Infinity 12" mass market sub never did have the output or go low like what I wanted. I just retired so now its man cave time:D
And I can go dual Pheonix. I am also emailing ed about there A7-900 and also Seaton Sub. There are so many choices. The video part of my room was easy choices.
