Good to see them growing and pushing out higher speeds (and no bandwidth caps).

Verizon this morning issued their first quarter earnings report, which notes that the telco added 299,000 new FiOS TV subscribers and 298,000 new FiOS broadband subscribers during Q1, for a total of 2.2 million FiOSTV customers and 2.8 million FiOS customers. According to Verizon, the company's FiOS deployment reached 500,000 new potential homes during the quarter, and is now available to 10.4 million households.

Hopefully I get an increase from my current 50mbs to 75mbs this Summer. The rumor is that the 50/20 tier will go to 75/25 and the 20/20 tier will go to 25/25.

The great part is that it is pushing Cable to boost their speeds (via DOCSIS 3.0). It is also no coincidence that cable companies are not trying to cap regions where they have FIOS competition! :-)
