Picture/Poster frames can reflect sound.... that said, I have 4-6 posters in my HT room and dont notice any sound difference. Unless your an audiophile zealot (if you were you wouldnt be asking this question) I think your safe to hang your photos.

No more than the bare wall behind them, I'd assume.

if anything, I'd think the frames might diffuse the sound a bit so you might actually get an improvement over a bare wall (doubt you'd notice, though). :)

The only issue I can foresee with back wall placement is that you may be taking up space that you'd typically need for bass trapping back there. Depends on the size of the pictures and where exactly you're putting them.

You're going to hate me...I actually hate me because I love that movie...but you're going to have to find another home for the poster. :( You're almost certainly going to need that space for bass traps.

I can think of three places in my room that would get bass traps before I would need to move that poster (front corners, one rear corner)... and given how satisfied I am with the audio currently (very - after treating the screen wall and the first reflection points)... it will probably only be removed long enough to swap out the poster with another one. :)

i thought bass traps typically go in the corners?

That's a good starting place, but the back and front walls are very common as well.
