On my way out of warranty 880 I'm not getting any IR signal at all. I've checked with a video camera, and there is no output.

Anyone else see this problem before? I can't update the firmware since this remote was replaced under warranty. Logitech said I could keep it and use it, but I can't connect it to update. (or use the broken buttons that caused the replacement). But it's a great remote for the kids and keeps em off my newer 880. Could it be the LEDs are dead? Is it a glitch in the programming? Dead chip? I've checked for voltage on the LEDs and cannot detect any.

Thanks.

First off, a little sarcastic "thanks for all the help".
But that's okay, if nobody has an answer then they don't and I can't complain.

I did find after removing the IR LEDs that one of them was completely open, I've replaced it and it works again. As hobbled as it is by obsolete settings that can't be changed.

I looked at the electronics to see if there was a chip that could be cloned from the other remote. (I know, no talk of circumventing protections), but decided it can't be done easy enough to make it worthwhile. So there, no circumventions.
