Well, I do not know what the majority of you all think, but I`m not big on Apple TV. Not when you can buy a Blu-Ray player, or even a SONY PS3, and get 1080P, why would you do something else. Thus, this news story i read.
720P?

I have a couple of Blu-ray players, an Apple TV and a Roku player. You can't have too much HD. The Apple TV is very complementary to the Blu-ray players because it gives you:
- access to HD titles that are not yet on Blu-ray
- instant streaming of HD movies when you are sitting around the house with friend and nothing to watch
- streaming of home videos or ripped DVDs
- access to a bunch of other stuff like photos, iTunes music, YouTube, HD movie trailers, etc.
Sure, the Apple TV PQ is not as good as most Blu-ray movies, but is better than DVD. It would be great if Apple would increase the resolution to 1080p, but I'm not sure how many people have an internet connection with enough bandwidth to stream anything more than the 4-5 Mbps required for the current 720p Apple TV movies. They would be required to wait for the download with larger files and that kinda defeats the purpose in my book.
