My laptop only has an HDMI output and a VGA output--No S video. I want to connect to a Sanyo analog TV that has component connections. I have DirecTV receiver. I found HDMI to component cable, but further research indicated this cable would not transfer the computer screen to the tv screen. Is there a reasonably inexpensive method to connect my laptop to tv? Thanks.

A VGA to component transcoder would work too, no HDCP to deal with.
