I need to get inwalls (WAF). I have narrowed it down to these two. One has an angled baffle, the other is adjustable due to the fact that I have to mount them high on the wall ( I know, not the best, but I love my wife). Which is a better speaker?
Elan THP525w for $177 on superiorhifi.com

or Speakercraft AIM LCR Three for $237 on superiorhifi.com

I will also be getting 4 in ceiling for the surrounds. Is it best to get same brand for the timbre match or just get any good in ceiling surround?

I agree with the article, but help me find a $200 ish closed back in wall (with angled baffle for higher than ideal placement)

I really appreciate the help. But I have not mentioned the important little restriction I have of needing to mount the speakers horizontally with a rough opening of only 7 1/2" high (width could be anything.)

Say what???
I love my wife too... but ya gotta draw the line somewhere. :)
There is *no* speaker I know of that would meet all these requirements.
FWIW, mounting a speaker horizontally is not a "recommended" alignment:

Can you do it? Yeah...
Is it optimal? No..., not even close...
