I made thumbnails for all of my HD video files and first i did my documentaries folder which is about 40 files and all the thumbnails loaded. then i went to my movie folder which is about 70 files and the first 6 and the last 8 loaded. then a few scattered in between. but ive left it open for a long time now and none of the new ones have loaded. im using version 1.02.00

some of them even load on one line but not on the other

The current firmware release is 1.01.02. The current prerelease is 1.02.07. Any issues you are having regarding thumbnails with 1.02.00 won't be answered since the prerelease you should be using is 1.02.07 which included thumbnail fixes.

well im actually trying that right now, but the reason i hadnt upgraded to the newest version is that it made it so season 12 of my south park blu ray rips not play the audio in sync with the video. i didnt know if the version is the problem or not but i just figured id post it. ill report back here once the update is complete

All I'm saying is that 1.02.00 will never see the light of day. Also understand that 1.02.07 is beta firmware and does have issues that are being worked on by WD (check out the 1.02.07 Prerelease thread). So the 'latest' firmware is officially 1.01.02, which only supports thumbnails embedded in mp4 files.

alright well i upgraded and it did fix it. i will either reencode those files that dont work or i will wait till the next firmware and hope it fixes it.. doesnt really make sense to me that less stuff would work though =/
