Anyone try this out yet? Impressions? I downloaded it last night but when I loaded it up it just kept searching for a game.

I've not tried it out but there is a 3 page thread on IGN filled with mostly negative thoughts about the trial. I hope the single player game is good.

I couldn't find a match last night. Would have been better to release a SP demo.

A multiplayer demo is no way to show off your game. They kinda just throw you into it with very little explanation as to how to actually play. Not to mention the only level that i played was dark and uninteresting. From the gameplay videos I've seen i wasn't impressed...this just confirms my ideas that this game will be completely lackluster.

Overhyped and underperforming?

I was horribly dissappointed when they released the Lost Planet demo, it too was multiplayer only and quite confusing.

Yeah I also think they would have been better off with a SP demo. I still haven't been able to get into a match. That is a same. I liked the original game. Oh well.

They released a single player demo. I don't recall a multiplayer demo being released.

The first demo which was a 2 level demostration on the game and was released May 06 which was the E3 demo. The second one was released in November.

I thought it was kinda fun, needs a lot of polish though. I think once you get used to the swing mechanic it becomes a lot more interesting.
