Excellent movie and great looking transfer to BD. I highly recommend this for the story, acting(which is really good), and mood of Boston well conveyed in the style of cinematography used. The director/writer really does an excellent job.

I watched this last night as well. It was a good movie, not great, but very good.
I thought the Donnie Walhberg detective character was kind of wasted in the movie. He played a role in their first arrest, but not much else other then that. Nothing really came out of him visiting Brian after he was released from prison, and nothing came out of him visiting Brian and Paulie on the waterfront.
I thought it was a decent representation of South Boston from 10-15 years ago (like they said in the movie - before the yuppies moved in there), especially when they were kids/young adults and the petty crimes/bruisings they committed.
I also liked how they brought in some local comics to fill in some support roles (Lenny Clarke, Bobby Kelly, & Steve Sweeney).
I thought the PQ fluctuated throughout the movie, but was always at least good. AQ was good as well - dialogue was very clear and consistent.
I thought this film was an average movie with a nice picture presentation.
