My 890's RF stopped working. IR still turned on the TV but RF would not turn on anything mounted in another room. I know it is not the extender because I re-programed a different 890 I use for the kitchen system to run my bedroom system. So there is no problem with my computer, Logitech website or the RF extender.

I tried to do a Firmware update at the request of Logitech but I get to step 2 of 8 "Updating the Region" and the error code 0x24000700 comes up on the Logitech computer software screen. I can not receive anymore help from Logitech because they said my product is over 6 months old!

Any ideas?

You can get more help from them, but you have to do it by email. They are only giving phone support for 60 days now.

Well, I hope someone can help us, 'cause I just purchased an 890 and I'm getting the exact same error code. Been trying for 3 days now.

I've been a long time happy 880 user, very familiar with the software, but can't understand what the problem is.

I finally found the solution for getting the 890 to update.
