* The game is basically Turtles in Time with new graphics - Awesome!

Also, the completely random Blogspot post above is flawed. Joystiq is reporting "The Alpha build of the game is being demoed on the Xbox 360 throughout the tour, but we're getting reports it could possibly makes its way to PSN and WiiWare as well, though there is no confirmation of that right now." So there isn't a confirmed version for the Wii, and there's no denial that a PSN version is in development, they are just currently showing it on the 360. Not uncommon.
Anyway, this is cool but it's not like you'd be missing out majorly if it didn't hit the PSN. What we SHOULD be pissed off about is the fact that the 360 is getting a brand new Front Mission from Square :mad:

The NES turtlles 2 is just TMNT the Arcade game. Which is already out.

Yeah, I would have preferred that one too. Maybe if this does well enough they'll consider it. They have to put it on PSN though.
Figured this thread needed to be revived since the game just came out! I played the demo last night. It consists of the 1st level and the boss fight against Baxter. Nothing groundbreaking here, but it's Turles in Time in HD! Figure I'll pick up the full game eventually. Would be great fun with 4 friends playing as the heroes in a half shell!

I saw a copy of the Transdimensional TMNT expansion rule book the other day. :D
turtles in time got raped. i downloaded the demo today and it was so horrible. unforgivable. it is like a bluray remaster of star trek. how the frek can konami fook this up so bad.
the 3D graphics are horrible. the animation is horrible. why the #$K@J%#J$% cant they just change the graphics to full HD of the orginal and keep it sprite based.
how freak ****ing hard can it be. look at Lucas Arts with Monkey island. now that is how you do it!!!!!

Sue them for making such garbage! I gave in and paid for it and with a couple people in the same room it's as much fun as it used to be in the arcades.

I haven't played the demo yet; that's a bummer if it's true. All these remakes should also come with the original version, just in case the remake is bollocks
joeblow 09-12-09, 12:36 AM Compared to the original arcade release, the game looks fantastic. The visuals are smooth with a great frame rate, and fans of the old game will likely be pleased.
I for one never cared for it too much. I like beat 'em ups, but I always felt that this game (and The Simpsons) were way too simplistic in the controls. Compared to Capcom's brawlers (or even some of Sega's titles), there weren't enough commands for me to get into it.
Still, as an HD re-release, I think the makers did a fine job with this game and hope they have more in the works.

Graphics aren't THAT bad. I love the added depth. Only grip is w/ how short it is, I somehow remember it being long. My roommate and I beat it in an hour on normal. Online multiplayer and survival modes are a great addition

uhm... the game was only $10. For that price I don't really expect that much. The game is fun, plays just a good if not better than the original, what more do you want.
what i want is simple.
keep the sprites and make them in HD. good example is monkey island and street fighter 2.
also for 10 bucks not expecting to much. what is that kind of nonsense. some games cost only 10 dollars on the psn store and give great graphics combined with gameplay. and if you cant make it for 10 dollars. then up the price to 15 dollars or 20 dollars.
Dashboard 09-14-09, 10:21 AM I played the demo for like 2 minutes thursday when it came out. On saturday, I went to a friend's place to play the game since he bought the full version. We played the game on difficult and finished it right away. (died 6 or 7 times). I'm glad I didn't buy the game but glad I played it :D This game was so fun when I was younger. Nostalgia hitted me hard! :p
Not a bad 10 bucks IMO. The game is short but still the same fun as before. But the 4 player coop must be really fun!
Played the demo with a friend and didn't like it at all. d3code is correct, they should have upgraded the original sprites. The new version feels bland and sterile.
