That's the best way I can describe it. I have a Samsung HL-S4676S DLP hooked up to DirecTV and I have noticed occassionally on various broadcasts, for example NASCAR on Fox, what I call audio "burps", where the audio cuts out and is replaced by sort of a "buzzing" noise. It doesn't happen a lot, but when it does it's annoying. Sometimes pixellation occurs during these audio dropouts. Is it in my TV or the signal from DirecTV? A friend of mine who lives about 20 miles away also has DirecTV and we have compared notes and he doesn't get the dropouts and buzzing like I do. Anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas on what could be causing it?

Sounds like low signal strength.

My Samsung makes a buzzing noise through the speakers, and sometimes pixalates when viewing a weak, intermittent OTA channel.

This never happens when viewing FIOS.
