I have a HP Media Server hard-wired to Linksys WRT610N and I'm streaming HD Video (MP4) from my HP Media Smart Server.

When PS3 is connected over wireless on G, MP4 videos playback is choppy, but other formats work perfectly fine.
When PS3 is hard-wired, all videos including MP4 videos playback perfectly fine.

Anyone had this problem and solved it?

I was thinking of buying 2 WRT610N and wireless bridging over N. Later realized that ALL 802.11N routers doesn't support wireless bridge (based on the standard). Theory is that N protocol doesn't need any bridging need. The great Architects didn't think of transition from G to N!! :o
I have tried

2 WRT54Gs w/ bridging with the same level of choppyness
Explored installing DD-wrt, which supports Bridging but only on G not N (love to be corrected here)

Any solution that has worked for u guys?

first of all the WRT-54G (GL, GS, G) family is a 2002 design and while these routers are quite hackable, their performance is generally pretty bad.

I use Buffalo routers (1 bridged) via G and the most I can do consistently is about 25Mb/s, and that's in 125 "turbo" mode. Anything more just drops frames.

I do know that there are some N routers that support bridging. I think Negear sells a package with a router and bridge in 1 box, in fact.

Of course, wired is the best bet.
