Hello, I have an older escient unit, a Tunebase Pro MKII to be exact.
Anyway, when I try to upload new title tracks and ablum
covers that I recently loaded in my music changers,
it says do I want to "connect to the Escient Library to find the
unidentified cd`s", I click yes, then it says it cannot connect
because there was no dial tone.
Now, I had no problems back in 2006 when I updated all of my cd`s then.
So, why do I have a problem now.
My phone line works fine, just like it did in 2006.
And i`m using the same phone line, in the same spot.
I even went and bought a new phone cord thinking that it might be
the problem. IF they changed the number, how do I change it on the
MKII? If it`s the same, then why is it not connecting?
I haven`t bought any new cd`s in the last 2-3 years, so I haven`t
had it connected to the phone line.
Does this have to be connected to the internet? I tried that too,
I have high speed, so, unless i`m doing something wrong, I don`t know what
else it could be? Anybody got any ideas?

I used to own one. The imbedded operating system is Windows. Try tech support first to check the number. My system froze up twice--once because of change of year. The other, who knows? In each case, ultimately a re-start established normal operations. There is also the possibility of operating system file corruption but try the first two items first.
