Dagnabit. Just got a Speakercraft IR extender and it works great with everything except my Apple TV. WHY CAN'T THEY JUST MAKE STUFF THAT WORKS TOGETHER! Should I can it an get another brand or is there some obvious thing I have missed?
Try moving the flasher away from the ir pickup. Also try an IRE 3.0. the visible led helps vy dropping the signal level slightly.
Okay I'll try that. The problem is intermittent, sometimes it will work when I hold the remote right up to the IR receiver. I tried messing with the sensitivity but that doesn't help. Does the Apple TV Pairing have something to do with it? Maybe if I use another remote, the Apple TV has a learn function if I recall correctly.

My IR emitter only works when it covers the LED light on the front of the Apple TV, not when placed over the "IR Receiver" spot (the one the manual tells you where to aim your remote). Don't know what is up with that, but put your emitter over the LED light and it should work.
