hi all.. i have had my fh1 for about 2 weeks now .. i have used it at an outdoor picnic and an indoor piano recital ... came out great at both events ....

i am using my PC to play back the videos .. i just drag and drop the files into my computer and use the Nero software that comes with the camera ... no problems with play back...

for any given event, i will be starting and stopping the camcorder .... and each time i start and stop the camcorder, a new file is created .... when i drag and drop these files, i will be moving multiple files depending on how many times i started and stopped the camcorder.....

QUESTION - how do i play back all these files at one time ..... i am now double clicking each of these files one by one ... which is a total pain ... it would be nice to just play all the files in a given folder back to back .....

any and all suggestions would be appreciated ...

thx ...

I had the same question. It looks like this is camera independent. How can one play multiple files at the same time? Is there a particular "player" which does this?

Many players let you select a playlist. In the open dialog you can select multiple files by holding down the shift or cntrl keys. Click one item, hold shift and click another further down the list and it selects everything in between. Or click one item, then click additional individual items one at a time by holding cntrl key and clicking other items. Then click open. Although it depends on the player. I just use a command line based player with a wildcard. * for ALL, ? for any individual character.

$ mplayer *.mp4
$ vlc sany????.mp4

And other ways to an end. With a gui playlist, you can shuffle the playing order around. With wildcards the playback is basically alphabetical / numerical.

One way is to get a PS3. You can set it so that it plays back every one of your clips.

If you want to play all the files together, you can always use the "JOIN" option in the Edit Video option under Playback Menu 2 to join the files in the sequence that you one as one big file. Up to 9 files can be joined at any one time so this could be repeated as necessary (probably up to a file size limit of 4GB). Be sure to save you joined file as "new" in case you need to make a different sequence later with the original files. This is less flexible then creating a playlist but a more permanent solution and player independent. And more work too! :(
