Ready to upgrade time! I am looking for something used in the 2K range...I was thinking of a RS1... They seem to be in the low 2K range these days...Any other PJs I should be looking at? Is the RS1 noticebly better than the Panny? Thanks in advance...Al

I'm in the same position and leaning towards the Epson UB7500/6500

In the $2k range there isn't much. RS1's can be had used in that general range. New, you are pretty much limited to LCD (Epson HC6500, Panny AE3000, etc...)...though they are not at $2k but more in the low to mid $2k range. All would be an improvement over what you have EXCEPT in light output.

View your next choice before you buy. The AX200 is an amazing projector. I can see an improvement with my New AE3000 but my family and friends think I'm crazy.

Benq w5000 if it fits your room.
