It appears that the ethernet port on my 360 is starting to fail.
It will drop connection randomly. A test on the 360 shows it as having lost LOCAL connectivity, thus it's not an XBox Live/interweb issue.
I've tried:
-Different cable (known to work with a PC in the same rack)
-Different switch port (known to work with a PC in the same rack)
-Restarting the Xbox
-Unplugging the XBox
Occasionally unplugging the XBox will fix it immediately. Other times I just wait a while and then it will work again, for a time.
I found a couple other reports on the forum of network ports failing, but not a lot. Has anybody ever gotten one repaired? If so, where and how much?
Thanks.
