I have fine tuned my 32" Sony FD Trinitron almost to perfection using the service menu adjustments. There is one setting that I am not 100% sure what it does. In the menu it is labelled "SCOR", and the documentation says this is "s correction". Anyone know exactly what this handles?

No offense, but that is the most ridiculous reply possible. Obviously, I googled it. Most of the hits there are patents or technical documents. I am just looking for an answer that says something like "expands the middle but not the edges" or whatever.

Looks like it has to do with linearity. I just cycled my Sony through the entire SCOR range and it seems like a very fine adjustment (not coarse). Probably best left alone?

much closer to compressing the edges but not the middle
