No, I am on staples mailing list, the sent it to me today. Also in the email was the HD for 99 bucks. I assume anyone on their mailing list got one.
ruktuim 05-04-09, 11:19 PM Do you happen to have the coupon code?

OP,
Thanks for that! Just ordered mine $74.99 plus the CT Tax, - looks like a great matchup for the WDTV since they are both black (and obviously by the same company!) - they both look nice together!
:)
kyubijake 05-06-09, 11:24 AM How did you get the extra $25 off? Every time I click the link it only says $99 special.
Thanks in Advance!

My coupon came in my weekley email from Staples. Try signing up for the email and they might send it right out. I just entered the code (without the dashes) and it went through.

See 'Whiteboy714's post a few posts above...!
Ron Jones 05-06-09, 11:06 PM The coupon in the weekly Staples email I received this week is only for $10 off, not $25, for purchases of $99 or more. Perhaps the amount of the coupon varies for different areas of the country.
whiteboy714 05-06-09, 11:14 PM You can get it from the site I posted above.
e-junkie will have coupons for staples. They'll cost a few $$ but worth it when you save $25. Although these are most likely hacked codes, Staples doesn't seemed to mind since I've used them several times with no problems.
A couple of days ago when I did this deal I used CCCCPN at http://www.e-junkie.com/staples. Code came right away via email, order went through without a hitch. I have not used this vendor before or since though.
FYI
The thing comes formatted in fat32. I did not realize this until I had about 500 gigs of crap on it and then it got to my Hi Def files and you guessed it, too large. I had to format the damn thing and start all over again.

There are a couple of software tools including PartitionMagic that will reformat your drive without the loss of data. If you do a google search there are a number of free ones available for download.
high_definitely 05-07-09, 09:38 PM If you reformat to NTFS, try 8kb clusters, provided you use that drive for movie playback foremost (-> large files). 8kb clusters seem to be the best compromise between speed (faster recognition / scanning of drives than the default 4kb clusters) and space (larger clusters = more slack).
Ahh wish I could of gotten in on this deal. Signed up for the emails, but I guess I missed the boat on this one. Dont think I really want to pay for a coupon so that route is out for me at least......

I did the same. It was easier (and safer imo) to just format the drive and copy the data over again. Complete brain fart on my part.
BTW I have used ejunkie numerous times for their staples coupons and never had an issue.
Also, the coupon codes (from both Staples and ejunkie) are unique and one time use so they can not be shared.
