I counted 17 topics on the first page with WD or western digital in them. It's the NMT Pandemic.

Haha...I suggested this weeks ago already, but the admins seem to think differently.

The subject of subforums has been discussed over and over and I don't think it's gonna happen.
There's often 1 particular piece of hardware that's very popular for a while but it all blows over in a few months time. You can't keep creating subforums for all these things.
What could happen though is that someone decides that all posts concerning the WDTV should be posted in 1 topic (something like: The official WDTV owners thread). Which leads to 1 thread with thousands of inconsistent posts.

I think WD is selling huge numbers though, world wide that is. Just look how many hits the WDTV related threads have gotten in a relatively short time. This little device is a big success, and I don't think that it will 'disappear' from the market anytime soon.

It's either really popular, or its owners are really clueless and therefore have a lot of questions. I have my own opinion on this; yours may differ.

Selling a lot of units implies that the number of 'clueless' owners increases accordingly... :)

Ever think it could be both. A really popular product would, just by shear numbers, result in a large number of clueless owners. Here's a clue: ;) if one assumes a 10% clueless rate. 10 sold = 1 clueless owner, 10 million sole = 1 million clueless owners.

At the rate WDTV is going this this will section will belong to WDTV. I put in a suggestion a couple of weeks ago as well. Glad it wasn't just me.
