I'm looking for a way to "hard wire" my projector's power directly to my local ups/voltage regulator within my rack - roughly 30' separates the two. I'd rather do this than have a separate outlet for my projector. Any suggestions on what I need to tell my electrician and/or what I might need to order. APC appears to have something close BUT it appears to be for shorter runs (10').

There are dummy plates that do this. Essentially on one end is an opening for your cables, and a female plug to plug your projector power into (looks like an outlet). However this isn't live...you actually run a standard romex down to your equipment closet, where there is another one just like it, with a MALE plug. Odd yes, but this allows you to plug a short 3 prong extension cord from the conditioner to this wall plate, thus powering the projector.
