You've got some games that will pretty much last you quite a long time in LittleBigPlanet, MGS4 and the multiplayer of CoD4.

IMO, you got a really great deal.

That is a good price considering those are all good/great games. Did you get the 80 gig with the 4 USB ports and BC?

3 months old, I doubt it.

Actually more like a good way to tell if the seller was lying.

No, its not the BC unit, kind of the only bad part but I still have the PS2 if I want to play them, plus I heard that BC can really be hit or miss. And I have the receipt from when the games and system were bought, 2/16/09.

good catch Cygnus, I said I was new!

Nice deal if it works , have you checked the online, left it on for more than an hour to be sure it doesnt over heat?

Good deal if it all works well.

scotch bottle beating, sounds like my kind of group. It's been on for about an hour, but I am having some wireless connectivity issues. It sees my router but can't obtain an IP address. So I logged on to the router and designated an IP for it. Haven't tried it yet, but will put it through the paces. Do I need to port forward or just dmz the deisgnated IP address?

R1Jester, you definitely need to port forward at least, but I just stuck mine in the DMZ. But I don't think that has anything to do with the IP address issues. Make sure you set the right password, etc. I was having problems with that last week when I got my eee PC.

I'd portforward over dmz all the time.

Figures as port forwarding is one aspect I haven't grasped yet. If it helps I have a older netgear wireless router, WGT624 Not sure on the version I have so I don't know which upgrade to download. Anyway, will this one work, and how exactly do I tell it which ports to open up? I have the port specific numbers from some swift google searching, however, the uber tech speak for portforwarding went over my head. The selection it said to choose I didnt have, there was about 10 (AIM, FTP,.......)

I have mine set to DMZ, can you explain or at least give a reason why Port Forwarding is you first choice. I understand the security issues and stuff like that but, to me DMZ is the easiest and I can't realy tell the difference in performance if there even is one. ;)

I'd never DMZ a computer but afaik the PS3 is alright with it!

If anyone has any info to the contrary I'd be interested in reading it.

Congrats and WELCOME! Let us know when you see some daylightOnce you do start to see daylight again, go to the store and pick up Uncharted, Warhawk, and Killzone 2, then head back into your hole and get back to work!

you'll love motorstorm if you like racing. And dont listien to anyone saying you should worry about it overheating:eek:

I havent forwarded any ports on mine and I'm nat 3 and never had a problem playing online, so at least for me its a non issue..if you feel you need to do that you can go to portward.com and select your router and what system(ps3) and it will show you exactly how to do it...congrats!

I'd add Demon's Souls and SF4 to that list.

p.s. and Valkyria Chronicles and Dead Space. Etc.

So now I can get an IP address but I am getting the infamous dns error. I've tried rerouting to the opendns primary and sceondary, updated the latest router firmware, 97% signal strength, restarted the router and PS3, still nothing....any ideas?

reset the ps3 to the defaults and start over.. it's happened to me before as well.. this cleaned it up.

Did you set the DNS on your PS3, or on your router? Or neither?
