I will have most of my equipment in a cabinet behiend me and a couple of things in front of me. Can I control the suff in front of me via IR and the stuff behiend me via RF at the same time using a Harmony 890 pro and a harmony RF extender?

Yes. With the 890 you can select if a device is controlled via the IR emitter on the remote, or, one or more of the IR emitters on the RF receiver base.

Thanx Im ordering a Harmony 890 Pro referb right now.
I just ordered and received the RF extender and did not get directions. How do I attach the leads? There seems to be two pick ups with sticky attachments and of course the plug ins to the extender. Where do the attachments go?
Help????

Put the IR emitters (the sticky ends) on the components IR receiver. Check your components manuals if you are not sure where the receiver is.

You can also use a flashlight and look for either a bulb or disc shape.

Just FYI, the 890 Pro does not ship with the RF extender. Only the regular non-pro 890 ships with the extender.

Is there a FAQ for installing and configuring the extender?
OK the emittters have two recepticles....do you posistion a recepticle on each side of the receiver or one right on top and the other beside?
Thanks for the help..I have absolutely no idea.

No, you place only one on a device. The two stick-on emitters per cable allow you to control two devices per port up to a maximum of eight devices (4 ports X 2 emitters/cable).

Actually, you don't have to paste the emitter right on the equipment. I have some of mine several inches away controlling more than one device.
