Hope someone can help me with a universal remote, (maybe Saltidawg?)....or someone in the same situation. I checked all the threads with Dish Network but most people don't waste a 1080p plasma on 720 video like I have to at the moment. Video2 out of a VIP722 is only SD.
My setup:
Panny 42" plasma
Denon 3808CI
Playstation 3 (bluetooth)
DishNetwork VIP722.............using 2nd remote(RF) because receiver is on one floor up
What remote can I use that can control VIP722 (RF) and PS3 (bluetooth) ...........what else besides the remote do I need? Any convertors, extenders????
thanks in advance
There isn't any remote that I know of that can do what you are talking about doing. You can use an rf remote with a base station to control the equipment a floor up, or use an IR repeater. As far as I know, there is no universal remote out there that can directly control the rf side of a dish dvr. If you can get wires between the two spots I'd put in a repeater and then transport the HD back out instead of 480i on the cable feed.

I'm not quite sure how this is done. Would both TV1 and TV2 still operate independently?
No, to keep TV1 and 2 separate you have to use the supplied RF remote for TV2. Don't know of a good solution for you.
I don't know if one of the RF-supporting Harmony remotes might work for you... like the 890? It'dbe a trial and error thing.
That said, there is now a PS3 bluetooth extender direct from Logitech, so that's taken care of easily enough.
