Anyway, the UK uses PAL and here is the Canon HG21 camcorder, which is High Def and 120gb hard drive, for £910.99:

It's the same camcorder as the HG20, except the HG21 has more hard drive space and a viewfinder.

And the same optics/sensor as the HF11 Flash camcorder (E689,-). Overhere (Holland) the cheapest HG21 I have seen is E899,- including VAT@19%. The newer models with 120 or even 240 gig HDD are all in the E1200-1500 range. Buying from Hong Kong without Euro manufacturer/importer support could save you E 100,- or perhaps 200,- or a even a bit more on the more expensive models.
