Hi,

Please bear with me. I am a complete novice as far as music systems. I was recently given a Azur 640H. The manual online is OK regarding how to put your music on it. But I am assuming that the Azur needs to be connected to either a Receiver or an AMP to get power to play music via speakers. If anyone get point me to FAQ or another thread I will be glad to read and learn.

I don't know anything about the Azur 640H, but I did look up a picture of the back panel, and it looks to me like you are right in thinking you need a receiver. There are digital audio outputs that are standard inputs to a receiver. I also see red/white rca outputs that you might be able to connect to your TV's external audio inputs (if any) or a stereo amp.
