Hey guys-
I've had my Panasonic TH-50PZ85U for over a month now. My baby was playing with the remote the other day, and adjusted the picture. I can't seem to figure out how to get it back. It's getting cut off at the top and bottom of the screen. It might even be cut off on the left/right side too.

I went in, adjusted the mode (Zoom, Full, Just, HDFill, etc) and that didn't do it. I tried to adjust the zoom adjust setting, and then the left/right/up/down setting- still nothing. It's as if the picture has been expanded larger than the screen.

Is there a way to 'reset' the picture to factory settings again? Or, any other way to fix this?
Thanks!

I'm pretty certain your TV has the same feature as my 50pz800u, check in the advanced picture settings and make sure it is set to HD Size 2. If it got switched to HD size 1 then it introduced overscan of about 3%. That's a lot of button pushes for a baby to get to though. Does the picture look the same from all sources?

Yup- that seemed to be it! Thanks!

Well, guess what... the problem is back again now. This time, even worse. I have it on Size 2 (but have tried size 1), but no go. I did a reset on the tv- nothing. I checked the zoom setting- cranked the zoom all the way down. Still cutting off.

Here's what's weird- normally, 'full' is the best mode to see the entire screen. On Full- well, on all of them, it's soo far zoomed in, that the picture is starting to get blurry. I cannot figure out what the problem is. Any ideas/Suggestions?

From what source? And have you try checking the source settings to see if that has been changed? And does the picture look the same from all sources?

LOL. I figured it out. MY CABLE remote has a 'HD ZOOM' button on it. so the Cable box itself was zooming the picture on me. LOL...

You've got to keep those gnomes away from your electronics.
