View Full Version : Projectors With Remote Control Lens Functions - Increasing Trend?

offering automated lenses? That is, things like remote-controlled zoom/focus/lens shift.
If so, I hope the trend continues, for selfish reasons, since I plan to use a "zoom method" on my screen and remote control of the lens functions are vital. The more projectors that come out with remote controlled lens features, the wider the options for future upgrades, in my case.
Am I wrong? Are more manufacturers starting to offer remote controlled lenses? Does anyone see this as an increasing trend? Or is it mostly the same ratio of manual-to-automated lens offerings we've always had for projectors?

I do believe there are more than ever and the pricing is also coming down for remote controlled lenses. The PT-AE3000 is a great projector for this with the added function of zoom memory. I hope this season we see many more with zoom memory function.
If anyone knows of any new projectors in the pipe line with zoom memory function I would love to know?:)

Yup...definitely more and more are having this feature. It seems 1 or 2 start with this feature, and everyone follows suit. There are actually many advantages to motorized lenses so it is good for all of us. :)

Jason,
i want to acquire an hd-350, or antherm lx-300 (same jvc platform), and will use the zoom method for 2:35. i have read that the panasonic AE-3000/U controls the lens with a memory button on the remote that saves the settings for 16:9, and 2:35 thus mking the zooming very easy.
Does the JvC have the same capability.
